Hazard explains what Modric said to him about the no 10 shirt
Ex Chelsea forward Eden Hazard, says Chelsea star, Mateo Kovacic, was the player that helped him secure his Real Madrid shirt.
He also said that Madrid midfielder, Luka Modric, refused to give him his Los Blancos’ number 10 shirt, although he asked for it.
Hazard revealed that he talked to Modric through the assistance of Kovacic, who’s on loan at Chelsea from Madrid.
The Belgium captain, stated this on Thursday following he was unveiling as a Real Madrid player at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.
Eden Hazard completed his £88.5million move to Real Madrid from Chelsea a few hours ago.
Luka Modric currently wears the number 10 shirt in Real Madrid’s dressing room, and despite wanting the shirt, Hazard will have to wear a different number for now.
“I have been able to talk to Modric through Kovacic,” Hazard was quoted by Football London as saying.
“I was joking when I asked him to lend me the number 10.
“He said no, so I’ll have to find another number. But right now number not important for me, just to play with this badge.”
